Matthew Stuart Varon, May 24th, 1988 – January 6th, 2010
Matthew Stuart Varon, beloved son of Russell Varon of Manhattan Beach, Debbie Varon of Redondo Beach, and brother to Morgan Varon of Boulder, Colorado gently passed away the morning of January 6th, 2010. A graduate of Peninsula High School, Matthew grew up in Palos Verdes surfing, skating, snowboarding, playing lacrosse, hockey and living each day to the fullest. As a bright and ambitious young man, Matthew attended the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. An accomplished student, he was on the Dean’s list and was scheduled to graduate in 2010. Because of his close graduation date and academic success, W.P. Carey School of Business awarded Matthew with an honorary degree. Along with his academic success, Matthew was an esteemed member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and enjoyed the bonds of friendship he formed there.

Who We Are
We have decided to join with the efforts of the Matt Varon charity upon receiving an assignment for our Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School class, WPC 394: Creativity and Innovation, taught by Sidnee Peck. The assignment was as follows: After forming a group of 5 people, each person must put in $1. The group has a week to formulate a business plan, but only 2 hours to execute business activates.
With these guidelines, we decided to hold a 2 hour long “Flash Charity” using Google Sites and the Google Checkout Donation button. To get the word out we decided to use Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Email, Mobile and Word-of-mouth Marketing.
All profits go to the Matt Varon Memorial Fund. Thank you for your help.
